As a young man I joined the army. That is were my training began as a machinist. Working on helicopters trained me in precision work. Once I left the military I took my skills and started working in small machine shops in New Jersey. Working in small shops requires you to become a master in all aspects of your employment. My last employer does tool and die. This is were I learned design and engineering skills. Here I also had private tutoring in learning Auto Cad. My brother, who lives in Colorado, is a coffee roaster since 2001. He also has a great love for solar and alternative energy. One thing that you learn about small business owners is they have great ideas on how to improve production, but need help reaching that goal. Wanting to help my brother with his projects awakened in me the idea that I can help other small business owners. And now with the high cost of energy, it has become more apparent to me that designing reasonably price solar panels for hot water would be a great use of my talents to help do-it-yourself home owners build there own solar hot water system.
